BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
LONDON - HYBRID 2 DAYS OFFICE, 3 DAYS HOME
£60,000 - £80,000 DOE (no commission/bonus)

We are excited to be recruiting a Business Development Manager for an amazing Europe-wide, niche travel company, that is the chosen business partner by all of the leading OTA’s.
  
This company has been established for many years, they are hugely successful and provide a fantastic basic salary and hybrid working (just 2 days a week in London) and very little travel.
  
We’re looking for a real hunter, somebody who has a great track record of success working within the travel industry, hunting out and converting new business via emerging OTA’s.   
  
 
Job Description:
  • As a Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in driving business growth and establishing strategic partnerships with OTA’s
  • Study the market thoroughly to understand different business models and discover new ways to make money
  • Keep an eye on market trends and what competitors are doing to find areas to grow and innovate, especially in the UK
  • Carefully update and organise customer data in the system, making sure to follow up on leads and contacts
  • Help create and manage important documents and presentations for business activities
  • Skillfully manage the sales process, making sure to meet and exceed the goals
  • Have discussions with important people like stakeholders and decision-makers, sharing your valuable insights
  • Use reporting tools to predict potential business opportunities based on transaction numbers and audiences
  • Negotiate and create agreements with new partners
  • Work with the Key Account management team to make sure new partners get on board smoothly
  • Share knowledge and ideas with your colleagues in the Business Development and sales teams
  • Contribute to the company's growth by working on development projects
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues from key account management and sales support to provide top-tier service
  • Lead the planning and execution of important business projects
  
  
Experience Required:
  • Proven experience in business development to OTA’s, within the travel industry is ESSENTIAL
  • MUST HAVE a good understanding and experience in API-based partnerships within the travel industry
  • Self-driven and independent, with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong market knowledge and business acumen
  • Proficient in sales and negotiation, with a track record of closing deals
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a determination to achieve results
  • Familiarity with leading CRM systems
  • Confident decision-maker, skilled in handling challenging situations
  • Possess a degree or equivalent qualifications
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other European languages is beneficial but not mandatory
